Coffs Harbour Airport (CFS/YCFS) is a small regional airport located south of Coff Harbour City, which is right halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. The airport offers some daily flights to these two major cities operated by REX Saab 340s or Qantas Dash 8 adding up to almost 200.000 passengers a year. In addition, CFS serves is home to some General aviation and sometimes also serves as hub for firefighting flights.

WHERE | This spot is located on Fellowship Dr leading to the crash gate: you can not go up to the fence till the end, but can/have to stand some meters away on some big stones there whereby you can clear the fence in front. You can stop your car here quickly or park on the airport’s carpark some 50m north of this spot. |
WHAT | From here you can nicely spot runway 15/33 movements. |
TIME | From later noon till sunset. |
MISC. | Heat haze can be a problem on hot days, nothing around except the terminal. Be careful of snakes during hot seasons !! |
