San Marcos Regional Airport (HYI/KHYI) is a small airfield in the USA. The airport can be found near San Antonio in Texas, the second biggest state in the US. The airport is mostly used by small sport and business aircraft as well as storage airport for some smaller turboprop aircraft like Dashs or Embraers.

WHERE | This spot is located at the end of an unnamed road at the airportfence. The just mentioned street can be entered from “Airport Drive”, just after you left the highway 21 into airport (so southern) direction. Once you’ve entered this unnamed street, drive till its end, park your car there and take your pictures there. |
WHAT | Arrivals and Line-Ups onto runway 08 as well as the apron on the opposite side of the runway. |
TIME | Apron has light from late midday till sunset. Runway from late afternoon till sunset (or on cloudy days). |
MISC. | Ladder (or at least a car top) useful, but not really needed as you can shot over the fence as well. No facilities nearby, but enough space for parking your car. |
