Katowice Pyrzowice (KTW/EPKT) is an airport located in southern Poland with a single runway and more than 4.8 Mio passengers. It is the fourth busiest passengers airport and second biggest cargo airport of the country . This airport is the most busiest airport in kind of charter flights in Poland. There are just a few main airlines – WizzAir, Ryanair, Transavia, LOT and Cargo which includes DHL (plus sub charters), UPS and ASL airlines.
But in summer there is a lot of charter going on for example – Smartwings, BulgarianAirCharter or Bulgaria Air and a lot of turkish airlines. The airport is far away from the city Katowice and there is nothing much around. But now it is easier to visit this airport, because new bus lines started driving from the city center.

Hello, on 8 is currently a construction site because they are building a new cargo port and it is unlikely to be possible to photograph anything there anymore.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I have removed the position from the guide. But Spot 7 is still accessible?

Number 2, Szyneczka, is no longer valid – there is now finished railway between street and fence, you cannot stand close to fence even if you could cross tracks, because of lack of space and taking pictures from shop’s parking is also bad idea as there will be railway infrastructure in the way.
There is substitute of sort – you can move towards platform 09 (spot 3) and right after tracks crossing there is patch of ground between tracks and fence. No idea who is owner of this piece of land and if you can be there, so there’s that.
I have just noticed the installation of a new spotting platform next to a sports field. I have replaced the current one with the new spot.
Think this a much better place to stay 🙂

Hello, my name is Nicolas and I am a visiting spotter from Italy. Could you please provide some pictures of runway 27 departures taken from spot no.1? I’m interested in visiting but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to catch what I want the way I want it. I’m sure some samples could convince me. Thank you.

Thanks for the update. I guess this is the next option you are talking about: https://maps.app.goo.gl/iuHjUUw3AcHTLNaG7
Is this correct? May you can provide some pictures to support@spotterguide.net please?

Hi Nicolas, somehow the sample photos disappeared. Now they are back online and you should see what you are looking for.
