Copenhagen Sea Airport (QEC(EKCC) is located almost in the heart of Copenhagens new cool area a bit north of the centrum. It’s not really an airport, rather just one waterwalk, which is being hosted by a little Danish Airline named “Nordic Seaplanes”. This airline is connecting Copenhagen Sea Airport up to 6 times per day with Aarhus.

---|---|
WHERE | The spot is no exact position rather the area along the walkside next to the waterfront. Spotting can done all the way along up to the „Little Mermaid“. The “runway” itself is a bit more outside of the harbor. |
WHAT | Seaplanes are the only airplanes. They are flying QEA-QEC-QEA normally all day and can be seen every ~2 hours here at QEC. Time “on stands” is around 30-40 minutes depending on the traffic. As of summer 2023, the pier for the waterplanes has been modified. Aircraft now park 90° rotated with nose towards the west. |
TIME | Depending on angle and your position, but light is better in the afternoon. |
MISC. | Everything you need inside the city or nearby restaurants. No ladder needed and enough parking possibilities nearby. |
FOCAL LENGTH | 24mm – 300mm depending on the seaplanes position |
In October 2022, the plane kept parking heading west (not south like on the pictures) and swam away in a tight right-turn. Best position was nearby the walkway and the grass leading to the pontoon. About 70mm were useful.
