Besides the bigger international airport of Belize City, there is a small municipal airport north of the downtown, named after the politician and entrepreneur, Sir Barry Bowen.
From here there are dozens of daily flights with prop engines aircraft, operated by Maya Island Air and Tropic Air, especially to and from San Pedro Island. The airport itself is pretty small and everything is easily to reach from the city.
