A special event was organized by Lufthansa Cargo and we were invited to have a closer look at their last flying MD-11F, D-ALCC. We visited the cockpit and cargo space and had the chance to talk with the pilots. In 2021, D-ALCA and D-ALCD already left the fleet and were sold to Western Global Airlines. The same carrier will also take over the last flying MD-11F from LH Cargo. In the future, Lufthansa Cargo will operate the Boeing 777F exclusively.

There are not much carriers left using the MD-11. The pax version is already history but there are still plenty of the freighter versions are flying around the globe especially for UPS and FedEx.

Lufthansa Cargo now wanted to honor the MD11's service and therefore applied some stickers onto their last flying aircraft D-ALCC.
