Zermatt Heliport – Spotting Guide

Zermatt helirport (LSEZ) is located at the entrance of Zermatt a 10 minutes walk from the train station on the street named “Spissstrasse 107”. You can’t miss the entrance as you will notice the large Air Zermatt poster (see overview below). You will have to take a lift which will bring you on the ramp of the helipads. The best moment is to come in the morning of Winter while the helicopters take all skiers to the ski stations, it’s a busy up and down run.

General Information
Security	Spotting is absolutely no issue here.

	Helipad – All movements
WHERE	This spot is located just by the fence of Aitutaki Airport and can easily be reached by bike or foot. Honestly you can spot wherever you want, because the airport isn‘t that big and the fence is always just about one meter high.

WHAT	All movements of Air Zermatt and if you are lucky some other helicopters but those are extremely rare.

TIME	As it is located in a valley which is pretty narrow, in Winter you can spot from 0930 until 1500 and Summer almost the same. Best time to be here is Winter.

MISC.	Toilets are available inside the Air Zermatt office otherwise bring what you need (foods/drinks).
