Bydgoszcz airport is located in the southern part of the Bydgoszcz city and handeld over 400.000 passengers in 2018. It is named after the former Polish primeminester Ignacy Jan Paderewski and the airfield’s complete name is “Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport” (BZG/EPBY). The civilian airport is shared with the local aeroclub and military aviation works. Schedule passenger flights are operated by Ryanair and Lufthansa (Frankfurt) only. Despite that, there are some charters from Enter Air, Onur Air, AMC, and Smartwings. There are some GA flights as well. At the local aeroclub there is a parked AN-2.
The airport is sourrounded by wood on the south and the west. When landings are 08 there no possibilities to take pictures on final approach!

Grass runways | There are several grass tracks on the north side of the field, used by the local aeroclub. |
Spot #1 – Jana Pawla Rd – 26 approaches, 08 departures | |

WHERE | The location is along Jana Pawla street at the side of the road. You can get there by bus or by car. It is not allowed to leave car on Jana Pawla street, car can be parked on the pararell road to Jana Pawla. There are possiblities to spot along the road, depends what type of photo you would like to get. Side on, front etc. If you have no car you can walk from the terminal to this spot for approximate 10-15 minutes. |
WHAT | Runway 26 approaches and 08 departures. |
TIME | All day in winter. In summer you can go to the north side of the runway. |
MISC. | There is a supermarket and a KFC north of the location. |
FOCAL LENGTH | 50mm to 300mm. |
Spot #2 – Terminal – left side – Apron, 26 approaches and 08 departures

WHERE | Next to the terminal on the left side there is a fence with some photo holes. Just search your favourite position along this fence, depending on parked ground staff and the object you want to spot from here. |
WHAT | Very good spotting place for apron movements and runway 26 approaches as well. |
TIME | From late morning until sunset. |
MISC. | Nearest facilities inside terminal. Sometimes ladder is required. Everything you need within the terminal. |

Spot #3 – Terminal – right side, parking place – Apron | |

WHERE | Almost the same like #2 but this time it’s on the right side of the terminal. Just search your favourite position along this fence, depending on parked ground staff and the object you want to spot from here. |
WHAT | Aircraft parked on the apron, going in and out of the apron. No runway movements visible from here |
TIME | From morning until late midday. |
MISC. | There is one photo hole on this side. Everything you need within the terminal. |
